Recipients of Cowboy PAC funds urged to renounce Liz Cheney’s warmongering and anti-Trump moves
Cheney, as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, worked with freshman Democratic Rep. Jason Crow to insert an amendment into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) attempting to block the President from removing U.S. troops from Afghanistan. The move has passed the House of Representatives but is awaiting final action in a House-Senate Conference Committee.
“Liz Cheney is the national cheerleader for the pro-war lobby. She consistently opposes President Trump’s efforts to end the cycle of endless wars and to build a more rational foreign policy built on non-intervention,” said McKnight.
“It’s clear that Cheney is attempting to buy the support of members of Congress – current and potential — for her policies of endless war and to boost her internal leadership power position. But by accepting money from Cheney’s PAC, these candidates are binding themselves to her lust for power and her policies in support of unrelenting warfare,” continued McKnight.
Polls repeatedly show that the American people want an end to the “perpetual wars” of the foreign policy establishment. (View polls here) Candidates who accept Cheney PAC money are standing in opposition to this overwhelming public stance.
“Liz Cheney is literally spreading blood money to candidates, money that is based on her calls for endless war. It cannot be ethically or morally kept without the recipient taking responsibility for aiding the bloodshed and carnage that Cheney and her ilk embrace,” continued McKnight
Earlier this month, BringOurTroopsHome.US ran Internet ads in the districts of three of the GOP candidates who’ve accepted Cheney money. The ads can be viewed here:

“The American People never voted to our being the policemen to the world. They don’t want that role and see no reason to sacrifice their sons and daughters to it. Liz Cheney and her kind use American service men and women like pawns in a game of global power politics. We are done with that. Taking her money puts any elected official on the wrong side of history and the American People,” concluded McKnight.
