BringOurTroopsHome Addresses the Death of Capitol Hill Officer Brian Sicknick
A veteran and critic of U.S. foreign policy, we mourn his killing

(Boise, Idaho) — Following yesterday’s press release, it was announced that a Capitol Hill officer passed away due to injuries sustained at Wednesday’s protest.

Brian Sicknick, prior to joinging the U.S. Capitol Police in 2008, was an Air National Guardsman from 1997 to 2003. In this capacity he participated in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Following his service, Brian, like so many other veterans disillusioned by the Global War on Terror, penned multiple letters to his hometown newspaper in South River, New Jersey. “I am no longer going to risk my life in hostile environments around the globe for a government that does not care about the troops,” he wrote.

We mourn the passing of Brian Sicknick, as we do Ashli Babbitt, the other veteran to die as a result of Wednesday’s violence on Capitol Hill.

May their loved ones find solace in their service to their country, and may everyone absorb the heart-rending consequences of violence against their fellow Americans.
